Human Rights Complaint Against Gay Guesthouse For Refusing Lesbians, Straights
(Cape Town, South Africa) An investigation has begun into the operator of two gay guesthouses who allegedly refused to rent rooms to lesbians and heterosexuals.
The complaint was lodged by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance, a conservative group that attempted to force police to charge drag queens at last September's Pride celebrations.

Last September the Gay and Lesbian Alliance took umbrage at drag queens participating in Price celebrations. The group said that they presented a bad image for the community.
They tried to get police to enforce a law which states, "No person shall at any gathering or demonstration wear a disguise or mask or any other apparel or item which obscures his facial features and prevents his identification".
