Aluminum free deodorant
First off: I am not connected in anyway to the sale of this product

I had been searching for a "natural" deodorant for a while.
Many of them seem to feed the issue.

And then I found this:

http://www.thecrystal.com/

Wow...one that works and won't break the budget.

Thought I would pass this along for those searching to move away from aluminum.
Explained here:

1. If you want no odor, you need an anti-perspirant
Deodorants don't prevent bacteria from making the smells out of your delicious sweat.

3. see my post below -
Lavalin REALLY works.

Clay Dry works, for like 8-9 hours.

Other deodorants, I agree with you.

10. Or, you can drink lots of water, eat a healthy diet, and skip anti-perspirant
Doesn't always work, but I don't think I would ever use anti-antiperspirant again.

2. Tried the crystal ones
and they do not agree with me - sadly.

Have found 1 product that works really well - Lavalin
http://www.lavilin.co.nz/ingredients.html

and 1 product that works okay enough _ Zion Health Clay Dry

I've been aluminum-free for a few months now.

15. I use Tom's and like it.
I don't need an anti-persperant since I don't seem to sweat. I mother never did either. We just don't sweat under our arms. don't know why

I've only owned two in those ten-fifteen years.

11. Did you know that "crystal" deodorants are made from alum, a salt made up of aluminum?
So they're definitely not "aluminum-free." Sorry to break it to you.

12. That's not aluminum free. It's alum.
Edited on Tue Apr-12-11 08:30 AM by MineralMan
How funny. Now, it is aluminum chlorhydrate free, but Potassium Alum is called that because one of the primary elements in that chemical is aluminum. If you want to avoid aluminum, avoid "crystal" deodorants. The "crystal" contains plenty of aluminum.

If you see "alum" on a product, think "alum-inum."

13.  Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Deodorant
I've tried many and Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Deodorant is my favorite.

From Cronus Protagonist: "Deodorants don't prevent bacteria from making the smells out of your delicious sweat."

Tea tree oil kills bacteria. Not only is it good for deodorant, but it's great for disinfecting and smells fresh/clean almost pine-like. It can be used as an antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-viral and antibacterial.

18. I had some tea tree shaving cream

Shit stung to high heaven when you cut yourself. Don't really like the smell of it either. Only used it when I was out of the regular stuff.

16. I like Speed Stick, musk, not the
anti-perspirant, just deodorant. It really is just fragrance that covers up our real smell.
