Socialize US health by flying in dr's fm Canada, Eng.,Austrlia
Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 05:24 PM by oscar111

"Cities groaning fm healthcare costs" ---
Headline today

===============================
why not have a city cut costs by "renting" socialized dr's and flying them in from Canada, possibly even England, etc. to staff existing clinics? Use the foreign insurance set-up and pharmacies in a package "rent" deal?

Looks like it would be far cheaper!

Just as the transport costs of elders bussing to Canada are still cheaper than using US pharmacies.

Truck in the whole socialized apparatus in 6-month time units, including docs and pills and the insurance paperwork used in socialized nations.

Let Canadian hospital administrators come in and take over city hospitals on a five year lease basis.

Could be done at the city level. Or state by state.

Our Senator Doctor Frist type of greedhead dr's could then go set up "Payday Loan " storefronts and make their fortune that way.

seeing the superior care in socialized-health cities here, would hasten the day of full nationalized health in the US.

1. Don't know about that scenario BUT I've often wondered
about "Doctors w/o Borders" and other such organizations who fly around the world to treat sick children and other people...but cannot give that free service to our people right here!?!?

It warms my heart to see physicians go to places worldwide and treat children and adults whose legs have been blown off or those with hideous illnesses. Likewise I am warmed when people are brought HERE to have serious birth defect taken care of...it's all good. But who pays for that?

When our own people have the similar needs, they have to come up with the cash before the operations can go forward. Some get help via organizations others don't.

WHO PAYS FOR THIS?? If it's free to foreigners, then we should be able to get the same treatment for free.
