Hurts pretty bad, but it eventually goes away. Took mine about a year to completely clear up. They offered me cortisone shots, but I'm terribly afraid of that stuff, so I had an orthotic made and that helped considerably.
hurts worst in the morning, after a night when your plantar fascia has had a chance to relax and contract. I had it from running years ago, and it took a long time away from training to get it to heal.
... to get orthotics fitted. I suffered for several months - feeling much of the time like a bone was poking through the bottom of my foot - until I did so. It cleared up after a couple of months using orthotics.
10. If you can get orthotics they are worth their weight in gold.
They will also help with any back, knee or hip issues you might have. My husband started wearing them last year for his abnormally high arches and they have been a miracle. They have lessened his heel pain and sciatica quite a bit.
