frustrated by the number of republican breast cancer survivors- rant

I don't have scientific research or an article. This is from my own experience. To me, it seems like most the bc survivors I meet online are hard core, bible thumping republicans. The elections were a real drag on bc forums, except for the handful of dedicated Obama supporters. I have never seen so much hate and vitriol from people who should have a lot better things to do than spew prejudice. If I had to ignore one more Reverend Wright comment, I would have strangled someone. I wish I had found this place sooner.

And I am a survivor of bc. I DO like to complain about rethugs, though. :P

of any anyone dealing with cancer. Not sure what it is you're saying, but as a 3 time survivor myself I'm happy for anyone who wins their battle.

I'll bet there were 20 reasonable people who were discouraged by the tone of the board and simply quit.

Obviously, that board needs to be moderated and the politics deleted.

Maybe I'm just naive, but after I had breast cancer, I felt more compassion, not more hate. Go figure.

Longtime lurker ... first time poster. Anyway, just wanted to say 'hi' and reconnect with some friends ... trying to have a positive discussion on the other board was impossible. What is it with Repugs ... it was like trying to talk with toddlers interrupting you every five seconds to change the subject and/or stir up sh*t.
