Two of my partner's friends (both in their early 50s) got heart attacks around xmas!
We just learned about the second man last week! Both of these men are former jocks who played on the same high school basketball team with my bf. The one who contacted us last week was still physically active, although he recently was diagnosed with diabetes.

My bf has been a vegetarian for about a year and before that, he ate meatless quite a bit, due to my cooking (and refusal to keep any animal flesh in our place since the mid-90s, due to a food-bourne illness we both picked up from meat filth seeping out).

This just hit home even harder for me that health is wealth and the shit really seems to hit the fan in a person's 50s and 60s! This is when the heart attacks seem to occur, not to mention other serious conditions (cancer, osteoporosis, arthritis...). I feel fortunate that I have been a student of healthy habits to undertake, rather than looking at health care as availability of affordable drugs (oy vey!)!!!!

1. Koresh almighty.
Don't you get tired of this? How many times do you need to sign up, go to all the effort of running up your post count, before you're banned again?

2. I beg your pardon? Are you asking this because you have nothing to add here?

3. That was a fast incarnation. It's dead, Jim.
Seems like an odd hobby.

6. I'm not sure that's the same one.
Doesn't really fit the pattern. Looks like it's trying to sell something.

7. Good for you and your excellent meat free diet.
My husband had a very serious heart attack 12 years ago and we went on the Dean Ornish diet immediately after that.

He had his M.I. on Thanksgiving night in 1995 and I later found out that many occur on holiday nights such as his, Xmas, etc as the high fat meals are prevalent.

He's doing very well now, thank God, and is a daily runner and meditator.

He was 51 at the time of his M.I. and had a very low cholesterol and was very thin at the time. Apparently he has narrow arteries and they were 100% closed up with the rich, high fat food he used to eat.

10. You know when you get cut off in traffic and catch up to them and look over at them...
*just to see what they look like?* That's what I want with this troll - I just want to know what they look like.

11. I had a stalker in the deaf and hard of hearing forum for a while.
Found posts I'd posted there in another forum that I can't talk about. Odd hobbies. I found it by googling my username.
