Civilian Haz-Mat Team To Protest Flu Shots

Category : Press Release

ATLANTA, Oct. 19 GA-MomsAgainstMercury

ATLANTA, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- As millions of Americans remain concerned about government-recommended flu shots, dozens of citizens dressed in full haz-mat suits will gather Wednesday, October 21, at the entrance to the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) to greet arriving members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Those advisors are meeting, Wednesday, at 8:00am. The event is designed to dramatize the toxicity of the H1N1 vaccine and Flu shot as they meet to discuss the H1N1 vaccine.

"We want the public to see just how toxic these vaccines are. If a vaccine vial is spilled, a haz-mat team is required for clean-up and the vaccine must be disposed of as biohazardous waste. Since when has the human body been deemed a toxic waste dump?" asks Karey Williams of Moms Against Mercury.

These protesters believe government health officials have not told all they know about the potential hazards of the H1N1 vaccine and the seasonal flu shot which they are also recommending. Officials do not deny that many flu vaccines will contain Thimerosal, a mercury based preservative, and a number of other toxins including ethylene glycol (antifreeze), formaldehyde, phenol, and antibiotics.

Thimerosal has been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders. Government-mandated warnings known as Material Safety Data Sheets warn of mild to severe mental retardation in unborn infants exposed in utero, yet flu shots are recommended by the CDC to all pregnant women.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, board-certified family physician, H1N1 vaccines made by Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline both contain immune system boosters known as squalene. One of them, known as MF-59, has yet to be approved by the FDA and has been linked to the Gulf War Syndrome.

"Two studies out this month point to evidence that mercury in vaccines causes neurological damage. One found 1 in 71 vaccinated children born in the 1990's, have received an autism diagnosis. Another study discovered brain damage in newborn monkeys who were given a mercury-containing Hepatitis B vaccine," says Scott Laster of SafeMinds.

The protest starts at 7:30am on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the gates of the CDC at 1600 Clifton Road, as the participants for the ACIP meeting arrive.

A press conference will follow at 10:00.

Edited on Fri Oct-23-09 04:48 PM by SemiCharmedQuark
will be in the minority.

And as far as science degrees go, Null's only science degree is a Bachelor of Science (Supposedly in nutrition, but I have no idea if that's true). His PhD is in "interdisciplinary studies".

In a couple of months, I'll have my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Purdue University. So as far as science based degrees go...Null and I aren't exactly miles apart.

3. Too bad I'm not in Hotlanta. I'd put together a syringe costume
and join the fun. My wife could come as typhoid Mary, and we could probably get some friends to show up dressed as various diseases now under control due to vaccination programs. Maybe someone could find an old iron lung and come as a pre-Sabin polio victim. That'd be good.

I just love costume parties...

5. There you go spreading complete falsehoods again.
According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, board-certified family physician, H1N1 vaccines made by Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline both contain immune system boosters known as squalene.

The H1N1 vaccine in the U.S. does not and will not contain squalene. This is totally false and bogus. Not surprising, since lies and hysteria are the only ammo crazy anti-vaxers like "Dr." Mercola have.

23. Simoncini had his license revoked in 2003 in Italy.
Edited on Tue Oct-20-09 07:28 PM by MineralMan
He was also convicted of wrongful death and swindling there.

"Because one of us (SJJ) is fluent in Italian, we could extensively search Italian Web sites for information on Simoncini's background. Currently living in Rome, he has been using unsubstantiated cancer treatments for 15 years. He calls himself a specialist in diabetes and metabolic diseases, but in 2003, his license to practice medicine was withdrawn, and in 2006 he was convicted by an Italian judge for wrongful death and swindling. This has not stopped him from continuing to provide his controversial treatments, not only in Italy, but apparently also in foreign countries, such as the Netherlands. He has appealed his conviction, but we could not find information on the status of this appeal on Italian Web sites."

24. You aren't really debunking Dr. Mercola
You're just stating your opinion. I understand how you feel. I think people are foolish for getting flu shots. But there is nothing I can do to stop them. Likewise, there is nothing you can do to stop people who want to participate in alternative treatments.

Are you aware that there is a lab in Germany that can pinpoint the type of chemo, based on blood work, that will be effective in each individual case? And at much lower doses than routinely given in the USA? Why isn't that routine? Why give a boatload of a chemical that may or may not target one's own version of cancer? Besides pharmaceutical profits.

If you don't want a flu jab don't have one. There will be more for the people who do want it. (I realize that it may be required for some health care workers; but these protesters are not health care workers.)

And autism was recently found to be similarly prevalent in adults (in the UK) if the same diagnostic criteria are used.

32. Unless you have a job ...
KANSAS CITY, MO - The first rounds of the H1N1 vaccine are making their way to the metro and some employers are trying to decide, do they want to "encourage" or "mandate" employees to get it?

Some believe getting vaccinated is a choice while others believe everyone should get the shot. In Missouri, the State Labor Department said employers have the right to mandate the H1N1 vaccine and can fire those who choose not to get it.

"The employer can change the terms and conditions at any time and for any reason," said Amy Susan with the Missouri Department of Labor. "And again, the employee can either adhere to those terms and conditions or refuse them and face termination."

Director of Health for Kansas City, Dr. Rex Archer, agrees. There are mandatory laws designed to protect people, and right now this is a protection issue.

"To have a mandatory policy that says you can't smoke at work and expose other people to tobacco smoke or you need to be getting a proven vaccine that can help protect, not only you, but your coworkers, I think that's a good idea," he said.

Dr. Archer believes the healthcare field is a no brainer, to protect staff and patients, and with certain policies already in place, requiring employees to get the H1N1 vaccine shouldn't be a tough decision. (...)
