Boxer gets 6 months boot camp for shooting girlfriend in chest

This case ticks me off. I think when you shoot someone there should be serious consequences. Also I want to see more consequence for domestic partner abuse. I'm also ticked these women refuse to prosecute their idiot boyfriends/husbands. He shot her in the chest after she accidentally drove his Hummer over a median and flattened his tires. This guy is a big Pittsburgh celebrity. And he's been in quite a lot of trouble with the law for substance abuse.

Former world lightweight boxing champion Paul Spadafora probably is headed to boot camp -- not prison -- for shooting his girlfriend during a drunken rage.

Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey Manning yesterday granted Spadafora's plea for mercy, saying he would recommend that the state Department of Corrections place the boxer in its remote boot camp in north -central Pennsylvania.

Manning actually imposed a state prison sentence of 21 to 60 months on Spadafora, but by recommending boot camp, he probably will lessen the boxer's punishment by years.

If the corrections department accepts Spadafora for boot camp, he would serve six months there, followed by three months in a community corrections program in the Pittsburgh area, where he grew up. Spadafora could be boxing again by autumn.

1. Hmmm Wonder how it would have gone if she had shot him?

Pretty damn disgusting!!!!
She needs to get herself a good lawyer and sue his ass off for financial retribution for the rest of his life.

4. I'm betting Spadafora is back in trouble before 2 years are up

I think he needs to get away from a lot of his "friends".

I also bet his girlfriend needs to get out. My guess the relationship won't last.

I'm getting sick of these "celebs" and "sports figures" producing basically fatherless kids.
