Calif. DA: Police Killing of Bystander Justified
The philosophy "Kill them. For the Lord knows those who are His, (Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius)" was a statement by Abbot Arnold Amaury before the massacre of Béziers during the Albigensian Crusade when he was asked how to sort out the difference between heretics and good Catholics. It was subsequently adopted by the marines and special forces. Good luck if you are in the line of fire.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) -- A district attorney's report says an officer who fatally shot a bystander at a California pizzeria robbery was legally justified.

Chino police Cpl. Claudia Lisner shot 23-year-old Daniel Balandran outside the restaurant on Feb. 1, 2009.

Balandran was leaving a McDonald's and walked into a gunbattle between officers and two robbery suspects.

The report released Friday says Balandran was wearing the same color shirt as the suspects and came from the same direction as the shots.

3. Kill 'em all, let God Sort 'Em Out.
In that case, I guess 9/11 was okey-dokey.

I agree with the sentiment, just didn't like the way it looked in the subject tree.

5. It is called the rule of "Imminent Danger".
If you fear your life is in imminent danger then you are justified in shooting. However as I read the article Balandran just did not put his hands up. That was enough to scare a highly trained professional?

Part of the rule is that you have to PROVE your life was in "imminent danger". It is a very specific legal term.

I have the warrior gene. I do not panic. That situation is in no way enough to scare me or anyone else with the gene. That officer should not possess a firearm.
