If all the decent, sane people stand together, the nut jobs will retreat into their dark corners to wimper their resentment, plot their futile schemes, and choke on their own bile.

The election of Barack Obama demonstrates the darkness has really been pushed back a bit. Quite a bit. But we need to push some more.

I was there, it was very cool, actually. Very beautiful country. The march went past a very old, historic church. I have to go back to get all the details. It was uphill. At one point a camera man for News 12 New Jersey screamed in frustration because it was uphill almost all the way. I offered to carry him on my shoulder. The anchorwoman, whomever she was, said she had to race up to talk to "the people". I told her that I'm "people", but they never wanted to talk to me. It's a shame. I have a lot to say.


I just wrote this to the one person who replied to my announcement on Latest Breaking News on DU last night:

After the speeches, there was a song. Everyone spontaneously got in a circle, including the Republican Politicians who were there - we don't have any Democratic politicians in this county.

I poured some water in the Grewal's driveway.

I told Mr. Grewal that it was bound to happen somewhere.

He said, if it had to happen somewhere, let it happen here, to me, or something like that.

He's a fighter. He said something about how "this is our town" when I left. I was being rushed so I didn't remember an exact quote.

Melvin M. Warren of the Warren/Sussex Chapter of the NAACP is, too.

Rick Gardner, the Republican Freeholder, will be talking to him, that's for sure. So will a number of people, like me.
