Wicca Emerging as America's third larget religion by 2012

Christians and Pagans agree that the Wiccan community is growing at an exceptional rate, and is projected to be the Third Largest religion by 2012.

That is a predicted future community of twenty million or more members in the United States by 2012. By both Christian and Pagan standards that would be a significant shift in American society.

Wolhberg continues "Witchcraft is growing so fast on high school and college campuses that Wiccan visionaires are rushing to establish their own schools." This is meant as a warning to Christian parents. Chas Cliftion, editor of Pomegranate: The International Journal Of Pagan Studies has a collaborating statement: "We (Pagans) are like a third world country that can't put up enough elementary schools fast enough.". Pagans and Christians agree that Wicca is becoming a major religious educational force in America.

In desperate need of training and trained teachers, many turn to WitchSchool.com on the internet. I know one guy in particular by the name of Bob Larson will be have a hissy over this article. I used to listen to him years ago on this local FM station that was Christian. I originally tuned in to here the tin foil hat radio show and here them talk about how the UN was going to take over the US. It was hilarious. Then one day I tuned in a little early and listened to this moron do his little rant. He was running this audio tape of a purported exorcism he did and I was hooked. I never listened to such finer comedy in my life. And it gave me a glimpse into the workings of my enemies so called mind.

It was a diverse group (including some fundies) devoted to fscking with his head and exposing his BS. Dumbest bastard on RR radio, mainly because Mike Warnke never made it that far.

Man it has been years since I thought of him or his fan club. He was one of the sickest SOBs on the radio. Another thing I remember was his perpetual begging for money. Never heard a show were he wasn't asking for it.

I would think of all the religions Wicca would be the hardest to track. So accurate numbers would be very hard to come by. I find it quite gratifying that it is making a strong comeback after centuries of persecution. I definitely have to bookmark this article.
