Has anyone here used MedCo for Medicare Part D?
I'm signing up for the first time, and it looks pretty good.

It gets 4.5 out of 5 stars on the government's comparison site:

Thanks.

1. The customer service folks are nice.
Your medicine comes in the mail. My parents have it and they like it.

3. Thanks so much.
No more racing out to Costco before the close? Cool.

5. I don't have Medco for Medicare Part D but I do have it
through my CT Teachers Retirement. I have nothing but good to say about the company. My husband and I order all of our meds online and they even remind you when it is time to refill. If you have to renew, they will fax your doctor for a new Rx. You can always go back to review your prescriptions that you have ordered in the past and they keep a running account of how much put of pocket money you have spent. This is great during tax time for medical deductions. I'm sure you will like it.

6. I don't like being forced to use Medco

I can't generally afford 3 months of meds at a time. It's easier for me to fill my scripts as I get them and then refill them monthly as opposed to one big cost quarterly.

However, if I don't use Medco for maintenance meds, my insurer won't pay any part of the scripts. And if you can't pay them, you don't get your meds.

Oh and make sure you check your scripts against the Drs orders. Medco put on one of mine to take once a day instead of the 2x a day, the Dr wrote.

I wonder how much money doing stuff like that saves them?

7. Good that they use generic companies out of Canada
to reduce costs but I wish they were more forthcoming in advertising that. I've had good experiences with them for years. :hi:
