Social Security Privitization Calculator- How much do you lose under Bush?
Given a plan that has no real financial problems if you assume GDP growth greater than 1.9% per year, Bush asks that you agree to toos that plan and take a loss - take one for the rich and corporate team.

Your Annual Percentage CUT Under Bush Privatization = ? %

All numbers are annual benefits adjusted for inflation. Calculations are based on Congressional Budget Office (CBO) economic assumptions. The President has said that individual accounts would do nothing to restore long-term solvency and that further benefit cuts are necessary. Since he has not made a specific proposal, these estimates assume that benefits are “price indexed,” a proposal made in Plan 2 of President Bush’s Social Security Commission. 1. Ouch!
Great post, though. Would you care to also post it in the new Social Security interest group? Of, if you don't wish to do so, may I?

2. Glad I'm "secure"............
I hope! I'm a senior citizen so hopefully I need not worry, but I am concerned for my "kids", I won't be around when they retire, I wonder if Social Security will be. Here's what I think is interesting and puts a pin in the privatization balloon..I have a "modest" investment that yielded around $4000.00 in 2004, but listen to this, my medical bills which Social Security paid were over $6000.00! So much for the private idea, it's BS. Thanks for the Link, will check it out later.
