Little round seeds in cat's fur--what are they?

This time of year, my cat comes home sometimes with these little round kind of sticky seeds in her fur. Sticky like beggar's lice, but it isn't beggar's lice, because they're round. About the size of beggar's lice, though.

This is in SC. Anybody else know what weed this is?

2. oh no you dint
better hide before the "vee must chain all cats to the dungeon wall" crew comes along.

My semi-outside cat never leaves the back yard, eight foot privacy fence, etc, but she goes outside. There are some pet-authoritarian people here who think a cat should never under any circumstances be allowed outside on pain of death, and they get quite quite hysterical about it.

I highly recommend toying with their feelings.

7. you really need to be more paranoid, you know?
And if it's not the government, it's probably the indoor cat promotion front collecting evidence.

8. Yeah. I had a cat I kept indoors all the time.

He got diabetes in his middle age.

9. I had an indoor outdoor cat
that lived to 19. In my experience, indoor only cats are more skittish to strangers. but that's just experience, unless it validates them, the feline inprisonment order will disregard it. don't bother arguing with them...

15. Same here.
Brought home a jack rabbit at 18 -- always hysterical watching him try to get it through the cat door for the requisite "presentation to the humans."
Two months shy of his 20th birthday he died; out on the lawn, watching the birds and feeling the warmth of the sun.
He was the companion of my youth and I miss him to this day.
I live in the city now, and don't allow my cat outside, for his own protection -- but I wouldn't do that if we still lived in the country.

And what the heck is a dingleberry?

If plants came up, at least I'd know what the seeds were.
