Think this administration isn't attacking basic science research? Think again...

This made me want to puke; basic science research is what ultimately drives this country's economy and advancements in many, many ways. It's not optional, our competition will pick up the ball, and we're going to once again be made to look like a gang of idiots on the world stage.

Thanks, George, for all you've done for this Nation. Making sure that we're no longer leaders in Science is...well, it's brilliant. You are BRILLIANT, Mr. President. Great job. Asshole.

1. We believe this administration IS attacking basic science research.
Where did you get the idea we thought otherwise?

4. Science is dedicated to the pursuit and revelation of truth.
The Bush administration is dedicated to falsehood in order to more efficiently steal your freedom, privacy, environment and money. No wonder they discourage good science.

5. I've been getting plenty of email from my professional societies about this
The Bush assault on science is so blatant that even normally non-partisan organizations feel compelled to lobby Washington.
