Dear Colleague,
I am excited to announce that for the first time this election season, the campaigns of presidential nominees Senators John McCain and Barack Obama have agreed to meet with the scientific community and public in a forum on science policy. The forum, cosponsored by the American Chemical Society (ACS) with Scientists and Engineers for America and other leading scientific organizations, will be held on Thursday, September 18, at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Representatives from the campaigns will include Jay Khosla (Health Policy Advisor for John McCain) and Dora Hughes (M.D., M.P.H., Health Policy Advisor for Barack Obama). The forum will be moderated by National Public Radio’s Julie Rovner. The forum is open to the public and we invite you to attend.
Click here to see the invitation and a full list of cosponsors or look below for more details. We look forward to hearing what the campaigns have to say.
For those of you unable to attend, you can view the forum live via streaming video. www.SHARP.SEforA.org/candidate-forum
Sincerely,
