2. Unfortunately for me, it looks bad...
You never know though. I've been know to drive a hundred miles in any direction to poke a hole in the clouds.

Here's a great site to use for planning in the day or so prior to when you go out. There are a number of ways to access the area you want to look, and it shows factors that can hamper viewing like cloud cover, atmospheric transparency, light pollution and more. This is what I start looking at and it's usually very good at figuring out when and where the best viewing will be.

8. Our skies will be clear - lots of light pollution though. Sorry to hear your weather will not
be optimal. Clouds (and the moon) ruined the persiods for us the last couple of years.
