job openings in dc working with women (addictions/homelessness)
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 02:58 PM by faithnotgreed
on edit: hope its ok to post this here since its a womens facility

these jobs are with "N street village" - a wonderful center dedicated to helping women overcome addictions and homelessness
this place has received good recognition and is supported by some heavy hitters in the dc circuit who really care about lifting people up out of their despair

if you have any basic questions about the center that arent specific to the job or arent answered on the N st website then please pm me
i do know a bit about them, have visited there and know a few people who work in partnership with N st

best wishes....

1. Wish I didn't live 1500 miles away...
several of those are right up my alley.

But DH likes his work, I don't want to pay for two addresses, and I should probably not be allowed to live in DC anyway... My blood would gush out of my ears, my blood pressure would go so high....

i was pretty schocked that i ended up in dc given how i had been completely wrapped up in the injustices of the world
but by that time i had been able to let go to some degree and since ive been here have been able to continue on that path of letting go
its not that i care any less but i (try to) no longer let it get stored in my body where it would do me harm

thank you for all you do in fighting the good fight
and if you ever think of moving here just let me know - its actually pretty cool esp when we have the highest national rate of voting democratic at 90%
so youre surrounded by friends here and hopefully we will kick the squatters out real soon
