1. I think that #8 has been grossly misinterpreted.
I think that it's a reference to the fetus kicking while inside the womb.

3. It exploits violence against women and negative body images
to get our attention.

"Gaining weight and getting kicked in the stomach ..." isn't accidental phrasing.
