"Sea Shepherd is concentrating on securing a fast ship to oppose the plan by Japan to kill over one thousand whales in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary in December 2006."

This fills me with great hope. To my recollection, in comparison, since SSCS was born to this day, during that same timeframe, they've scuttled more ships than the US Navy (including one of their own). A faster ship, well rigged will make for many more tales along the lines of The Sierra.

Sure a few antis will show up, but most of the board is definitely on board with conservation and whale preservation and they need to know about this.
