Favorite vegan Health & Beauty products
What are yours?

I'm always on the lookout for vegan H&B products, although, admittedly, I am so in love with Aubrey-Organics that when I do try something else, I always go back to A-O.

I also love The Merry Hempsters lip balm. I've found it very difficult to find vegan lip balm, even at most HFS! I ended up buying a case of 24 tubes online! Fortunately, they made great additions to my holiday gifts.

I would like to find vegan lipstick -- preferably an online source. Can anyone help out?

And lastly, has anyone here tried Arbonne cosmetics?

These products rock! (I don't work for them!)

2. If you are looking for more available sources Bath and Body Works
has great lip balms that are vegan. They also sell Burts Bees though which contains beeswax but the B&BW stuff is all vegan.

For lipstick, many Revlon and Almay cosmetics are also vegan, they have an 800 number and are very friendly and helpful in telling you whether any particular product contains animal byproducts. Take your cell with you to the store and give them a call. Almay and Revlon are part of the same company and do not test on animals. O8)

5. I forgot to add, to the best of my knowledge they (Revlon) do not
use slaughterhouse byproducts at all, just a few items with silk proteins, beeswax and cochineal which would make them vegetarian by some standards but not vegan.

3. Mountain Rose Herbs products
The company has been around since 1987. Great source of essential oils and herbs. I like their lip balms.

4. I love Lamas.
I find it to be pretty pricey, but used in moderation, well worth it. I also believe that every item Mr. Lamas puts his name on is vegan...no animal products, no animal testing.

For hair I like Aubrey Organics, Giovanni or Beauty Without Cruelty.

I like the Merry Hempsters lipbalm too. I've always got mine at Whole Foods.
