Time to shut down JLo!
I am really sickened by this woman. She calls her clothing line SWEETFACE? I wonder how sweet were the faces of the foxes and minks (dogs?) before they were tortured and killed and had their skins stolen to make her tacky clothes. I bet the majority of Jennifer Lopez' fans are young girls who would be horrified if they knew the kind of cruelty JLo is profiting from. Please sign the petition, email, call and spread this info around.

Please crosspost:

From Sandy Parker Reports-

"PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS: Singer-actress-designer JENNIFER LOPEZ is now in the fur business as a result of a collaboration with SAGA FURS OF SCANDINAVIA. Her first collection was showcased along with her SWEETFACE ready-to-wear line as the finale of the recent Seventh-on-Sixth Fashion Week in New York. Her designs were interpreted in fur techniques developed by Saga and produced in New York, mostly in blue and silver fox and mink. The collection will be retailed in the U.S. by the MAXIMILIAN salons in Bloomingdale’s beginning in June. It also will be sold in Spain, the United Kingdom and Russia...."

I've been getting a few emails from people who want to write to her- this is what I found-

PLEASE DONT BUY HER MUSIC, MOVIES, CLOTHES,

BOYCOTT HER AND LET KNOW HOW DISAPPOINTED YOU ARE THAT SHE WOULD CONTRIBUTE TO THE INEXCUSABLE PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT SO MANY ANIMALS ARE PUT THROUGH EVERY DAY FOR FASHION. LIFE IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN PROFIT!!!!!!!!!!

After watching this you really can't tell me your not going to spend at least an hour of your time on the phone, or online e-mailing/faxing this bitch. Remember: Nothing illegal :)

Easiest way to send electronic fax:

Use this webform, http://www.tpc.int/sendfax.html
Or Plug this code into the "To" section of your email:
"remote-printer.typeanythinghere@addnumberhere.iddd.tpc.int"
ex:
"remote-printer.JLOSUCKS@12016178686.iddd.tpc.int"
That's right, send a fax to JLO wasting her paper and ink that she makes off of the blood of dogs and mink by plugging
"remote-printer.JLOSUCKS@12016178686.iddd.tpc.int"
into your email program(s).

There is a way to send pictures, but I think you have to read the instructions how - http://www.tpc.int/faxbyemail.html

What are you waiting for? Get off the fucking computer and give her a good ass-kicking! (Unless your emailing or electronically faxing her - www.efax.com www.fax4free.com www.tpc.int)

2. You. Are. F-ing. Awesome.
I was just on jlodown.com and was wishing I had a phone number. I emailed the Epic Records site, and her Sweetface site, but I wanted something more direct.

Thank you so much!

6. Thanks!
I've been dissing her since her "real fox fur" eyelashes People Magazine gushed over...oh yeah, and canceled my subscription too!

How ignorant for anyone to be wearing, modeling, selling or bragging about fur in this day and age, it's just socially unconscionable !

We could put the fur industry out of business if we did like Switzerland...raise the welfare living and care standards on fur farms to that of it's zoos :) Put every one of those f*ckers out of business!:nopity:

8. protesting JLO
Animal activists made diners at JENNIFER LOPEZ's Pasadena, California, restaurant a little uneasy today (10MAR05) as they showed them images of animals skinned alive over lunch.

PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS (PETA) followers took their fur protests against Lopez to a new level by protesting outside Madre's.

They also paraded large posters of Lopez with the words "Fur Hag" attached and placards featuring images of orphaned animals and the caption "J.Lo: These Babies Miss Their Mother - Is She on Your Back?" as diners tried to eat lunch.

The activism was part of an ongoing campaign to shame Lopez for "promoting and profiting from the bloody fur industry."

Activists with body-screen TVs also used the Madre's protest to air the west coast debut of the first-ever video footage of fur farms in China, shot during a year-long undercover investigation.

The protest comes on the heels of the February (05) debut of Lopez's fur-laden SWEETFACE fashion collection, which has been panned by critics and animal rights activists alike.

A PETA spokesman says, "Lopez continues to pimp for the fur industry despite the fact that PETA has contacted her no less than a dozen times, pleading with her to stop supporting the horrific abuse of animals killed for their fur."

PETA have just launched an anti-J.Lo website JLODOWN.COM, which urges her to stop wearing fur.

Also, some Street Teamers have reportedly been stickering J. Lo’s new CD with "I’m An Asshole, I Wear Fur" and other anti-fur stickers from PETA. Should you need any stickers or other materials, e-mail PETA2@peta.org and we’ll be glad to send them to you.

11. Kick.
And have you posted this on any other boards, like veggieboards.com?

I've been sending her daily faxes that simply say "Fur is murder," and no response yet, but at least I'm clogging her fax machine up.

12. Thanks... and check out JLo getting busted on the radio:
Yes, I have posted this in a few other forums (not the one you mentioned though - go for it) and sent it out to a few lists... it's been getting around. I know it's been posted on some JLo fan forums.

Thanks for faxing!

Check out this blurb from the NY Daily News (also got reprinted in TeenPeople... we're coming for you JLo!):

JLo Gets Schooled... Fur Real

Speaking of J.Lo, the diva was silenced by Australian radio host Jackie O. last week when she brought up the issue of fur in Lopez's Sweetface clothing line.

"If someone would like to educate me and bring something to light that I don't know, that'd be great, " J.Lo calmly replied.

"Would you like to be educated right now?" the host shot back, going into brutal detail of how foxes are skinned alive and chinchillas are electrocuted.

Lopez's dead air was deafening. If she wasn't ready for the tutorial then, she'll get a second chance. PETA is planning a massive demonstration outside the L.A. premiere of Jenny from the Block's latest flick, Monster in Law, on April 28.

13. Burnnnnnn!!!
God, what a bubbleheaded waste of flesh. All it takes is an internet connection, an opposable thumb, and a tiny modicum of effort to find out just how cruel the fur industry is. She has no excuse for her ignorance, especially since PETA was nice enough to send her several personal letters about the topic.

15. Oh, that's great....I hope it's real...
...looks photoshopped because of the sharpness of the sticker compared to the rest of the label ? But great idea!

This reminds me of some fur animal advocates sneaking into some major NYC fur salons and placing photo-stickers of skinned mink and fox carcuses on the designer labels with a note: here's the rest of your coat !

16. I think it's real
It's probably just the contrast in the reflectiveness of the sticker and the cd packaging. Don't forget you can get these stickers by emailing peta2@peta.org :)

18. Pam calls JLo an Idiot, PETA steps up campaign
mmm celebrity gossip...

Pam Calls JLo an Idiot

PAMELA ANDERSON has branded JENNIFER LOPEZ an "idiot" who looks overweight when wearing fur coats.

Besides J. Lo, the former Baywatch actress has also slammed SEAN 'P DIDDY' COMBS for his love of fur jackets.

PAMELA says, "Every season furriers put propaganda everywhere. And they give free coats to idiots like JENNIFER LOPEZ and PUFF DADDY."

"People who wear fur smell like a dog in the rain. And they look fat and gross."

PETA has also set their sights on J. Lo, labelling the singer an "apathetic fur hag."

They've also issued a chilling warning - they will be waiting for her at public and US television appearances.

PETA's vice president DAN MATHEWS tells the New York Post, "On April 29, we'll be waiting for her outside Jay Leno's Tonight Show studios at 4pm with a 30 foot inflatable beaver with a banner saying, 'Fur - Leave it to Beaver.' We'll have a massive protest at the LA premiere of Monster-In-Law with posters showing LOPEZ in pelts and the logo of the movie adapted to read 'Monster-in-Fur'.

"We'll also be at the Atlanta premiere she's supposed to attend with JANE FONDA on May 5. She's providing us with endless opportunities to show what happens when a star so thoughtlessly pushes such a violent industry."

This isn't the first time J. Lo has been attacked by PETA - she was trapped by activists during a signing session at the Virgin Megastore in New York's Times Square last month.

MATHEWS recalls, "We had three people strategically placed on line to meet her and we showed videos of animals being electrocuted and skinned alive outside - it had a big effect on people going in."
