The girl from Rio ! de Janeiro!

I found this lady over two years ago in Rio. She was a pile of skin, mange and bones that was bedding down underneath a newspaper stand on a very very busy street on the edge of a super congested road full of urban high speed traffic.
I took her in, had her treated, vaccinated, fed, housed and loved. (Well, she had to live temporarily in a high rise condo and then transported to another residence of mine for a year and a half) Finally, as events evolved, I brought her here to the states in February of this year. This picture was taken after her spring/summer bath about 3 weeks ago. She is a fine lady and a welcome addition to my house of pets.

What a pretty girl! You really went above and beyond. She looks pretty young, and she looks very healthy. Well done!!

She had decayed teeth and has been treated for that. She had a few allergies after arriving stateside and has accepted her new boss, Bella the Bassett who has been my girl now for over six years. I was wondering how the hierarchy would play out, but as usual, Bella is the boss.
