Why do they portray Vegans/Vegetarians as kooks?
I am watching "Trading Spouses" (I know, I know...but I watched it a couple weeks ago and it's like a bad car wreck). Anyway, they have one mother who is a vegan and one who is cajun. They really must have gone far to find the craziest vegan they could. This lady is just...nuts. She slapped the dog when it peed and tried to shove its nose it its own urine. She drives an SUV. She actually said that it's better to eat alligators because they're reptiles not mammals. Why is this the image that they choose to present to people? Most vegetarians I know are genuinely concerned with animal rights, and don't do it as some sort of fad.

1. Who sponsors the show?
Portraying vegans/veggies as kooks is simply a "good business practice" for many corporations.

3. Well that's it...watch as Vegans and Vegetarians get dumped on
We're all colored with the same brush. I wonder if the same reaction would be reached if they found some nut liberal and pitted her against the nicest conservative they could find.
