Printing problem with Tiger 10.4.2

I upgraded my G4 iBook to Tiger ran it a while and had no problems. So I upgraded my G4 tower.

1. First problem: kernel panic because it didn't like the SCCSI Zip drive connection. Disconnected and it stopped the k-panic.

2. Second problem: the icon for Illustrator 10 doesn't show up. The program is there, I can open and work on files, but the icon doesn't show up. PhotoShop and InDesign show up fine. Illustrator icon shows up fine on the iBook. (By the way, I did a clean install.)

3. Third problem and the most important: can't get the computer to recognize the printer. This gets a little complicated, but here goes:

I have an Epson all-in-one RX 620. I am connected through Airport. In order to use the scanner through Airport I had to buy an Epson wireless print server. Finally everything worked under 10.3.9. Now I can't print with 10.4.2--not even bypassing Airport and hookiing up with USB directly. This is only on the tower. The iBook works fine through Airport.

Any suggestions? I will call Epson again on Tuesday, but thought I would check here in the mean time.

But if anyone has a clue why the Illustrator icon doesn't show up, please pass it on.
