Forcing an image to fit in a drop zone in iDVD: HOW?!?

I'm attempting to use the "Watercolor" theme, and I want to put the graphic below in a non-moving drop zone in the opening menu. However, when I drag and drop it, it extends over the edges, and moving it around within the drop zone does not allow me to fit the entire thing. Thoughts?

1. Usually you can click/drag the edge of the photo to resize it

That's how you do it in Keynote anyway. Hope this helps.
