Ok a question... when you take your
laptop off power and then back, does it just go off?

This is an odd behavior, why they may have wanted to get rid of it.

But I wonder if I should just go return the cpu and get another one?

1. Are you talking about unplugging it from the wall?
If you are it should switch to the battery without doing anything. It will just continue work.

2. It was defective and returned it today

the mag charger, when it came back to the comptuer, it shut it down

It had a short somewhere. Hey I found out why it was returned to begin with to best buys, now didn't I?

No matter, I got another machine through small dogs and is getting here on Monday, for about the same price when all was said and done

I have never seen that behavior, nor the tech... on any computer I ever owned

I got a better machine though I had to get a copy of I-works first... long story short, they don't sell a CPU until you buy from them, something about the contract with Apple

And I had the chance to try word processors over the course of the last twenty four hours, and neo office left me non plused

I like Bean... definite redownload

And my mission critcal app for my fiction writing works well under cross office

Oh yes, it has a few quirks, but that is emulation for you. I can live with them

:-)

After all IT WORKS and it is quite possibly the BEST creative writing suite I have ever used...
