I am a musician and am thinking thinking of upgrading to a Macbook for recording, and leaving hardware based recording behind. I read about Apogee (an audio interface made just for mac). Any advice or tips from you mac based musicians. I write here because the musicians group seems stoned all the time lately.
1. I'm not familiar with Apogee. I use Bias Peak software and an M-Audio Duo
My set up is a few years old now, but works fine. the Duo is a USB interface with XLR inputs. I think my model has been discontinued, but M-Audio has other similar products.
