help!
my cat must have been walking around on my keyboard.

My display function is messed up. The photo I was using for my display changed so that the background is brown, not blue, and all the desktop and dock icons are orange, etc.

When I go to system preferences and choose desktop and screen saver, there are only shades of brown/gold/pink available as solid colors. everything else is gone.

I would think the values of colors got messed up somehow, but I wanted to ask you all.

The color sync utility is active in my dock, I just saw. But I don't see where I can alter the color range, if that's it.

I was working on a screenprint image last night and now I cannot get the colors to be true for it (or any other pix) All I seem to have is a range of browns.

also, when I went to my mail provider, my display is totally different there too. and here, too. no blue.

help!

1. Have you tried restarting? Repairing permissions?
What kind of computer are you using (separate monitor, or iMac/laptop)?

2. powerbook g4
what I can see is that the colors do not match the names. in other words, where it says "blue" as a color choice, the color is actually orange... this is for all the color settings -- for the desktop or for labels -- and, again, when I go to sys. prefs and choose "solid color" as my desktop display option, the only colors are from the brown spectrum... but again, orange is called blue, etc.

I did restart. Everything looks like a negative still.

DU is black and brown and white. icons are blues, etc. and the breadcrumbs across the top of the tables are yellow (i.e. "Home" "Discuss" etc.

5. You need to start documenting that cat's every move!
The best mine ever did was start the iMac, open iPhoto,
and create a new folder.

(but I caught him on the keyboard, so perhaps he would have done more, given time.)
