My HP printer not working with 10.5.
It worked on my Mini when running 10.4.10. For some reason it is not connecting to the printer, and defaults to idle.

I've installed all drivers suggested.

1. Wish I could help, alfredo. Holding off on Leopard for awhile
You might try trashing the preferences, then running installer again.
Sometimes the 3rd party drivers don't "take" - that happened with older Canon driver here.

I assume you have "Leopard ready" update from HP?

2. Got it working. I uninstalled the existing HP drivers that came
with the printer. I then installed the HP drivers from the Leopard disc. It worked. Before I installed the HP drivers from the Leopard disc without first uninstalling the old drivers. That's what was causing the problem.

4. Yeah, I was about to get very discouraged. I'm already bummed that
Photoshop 7 doesn't work, and that the brush tools in GIMP crashes the app.

5. PS 7, I guess that is to be expected. Gimp should have a fix soon though.
Buck up, it shouldn't be long for the gimp team.

Hear ya on the old adobe upgrade conundrum. The amount of upgrades I have spent since 2.5 over the years. Oy.
What an amazing tool it is, though. My main workhorse.
Still on CS1, because I am a cheapo. And really, many of the new features are not necessary to me, cool as they are.
From PS7, maybe 2-300 bux?

Here's hoping for a quick update for you. Will post if I hear anything about updates.

G4. I tried using it by Firewire and T'ing into the G4, but that didn't work. Maybe if I go the other way it will work. I wonder if I set it as a startup item on the G4 I could get around that problem?

Oh yeah, one problem with the GIMP is lag. It can't keep up with the cursor. I will wait for GIMPShop to catch up.

7. You could try VNC over gbit e-net or firewire, but lag will still be a problem
Or dual boot into tiger (PS 7 works fine in tiger, if memory serves)
Kinda depends on the resolution of your artwork.

If your monitor only has one input, them KVM is a handy decision.

The only other temporary possibility involves gray areas...

8. Target mode will be used for transferring files. The KVM is the
way to go. With KVM and Target mode, I will be sitting pretty.
