WOOHOO found another program that runs flawlessly on my Mac
but right now FIGHTING to get it to work on the WIN VISTA machine...

Oh wait... I should not be having that problem... so tells me Bill Gates.

Now seriously folks. Decided to plunk some money on Movie Magic Screen Writer... after all, it IS useful for the professional novelist and someday I will dabble in screen plays (sooner rather than later). So I decided to get the full version. Mostly could not find my version four CD and not sure if I had enough installations left on it.

So I downloaded the disk image to the mac, and ran it happily while i waited for the license to arrive.

Truth be told if I had done the same on the WIN machine I'd not bought the product... second boot up, changing levels of privilege to run it, yep, fun, fun fun....

I know, this is a third line provider and a small one at that. But still...

Cannot wait for the win defenders to see this as an attack on them.

Oh and folks today I went to the mall to get a mag safe (yep cute cockatiel went through wires, this one is staying short).

The place, no, not the MAC store, the mall, was dead...

Good news, parking was a snap...

By the way, I read your woe on the computer front, have you considered a linux machine? SOme are new for about 300

Even a base Win machine can handle linux, no problem

I like several distros by the way... ubuntu is my all time fave thiough

5. Oh sure. Every thing I use on Linux I can run on OSX. Don't really
need to run it on my desktop, but would like to have Linux for the road.

I used to be a big fan of Yellow Dog Linux.

6. Am aware but you can use the live distros to TEST
then before you install it on a laptop

The advantage of the life distro is that it does nothing to your drive

;-)

Hell I used that distro on the laptop when windows started to fail on her

7. I've used the Ubuntu live distro some time back. It's pretty
easy to use. I have burned a SUSe distro for an older Mac, I just haven't gotten around to installing it.

8. There's a freeware screenwriting program called Celtx
Check it out. Might have been able to save some moolah. I have the Mac version and it works great.
