Sun offers Free alternative to VMWare Fusion and Parallels
Virtualization continues to be a big topic among Mac users with Intel-powered Macs. Products from Parallels and VMware allow you to easily run many different operating systems on your Mac, each within its own protected virtual environment. Recently, a third player entered the market—Sun, with its VirtualBox product.

Also works with linux .

4. SWWEEETTTTT
I may download this tonight and actually install my copy of XP... yes, there are a couple proggies I want to run... and it solves my quandary about windows CE....

Yep, looking at a Palm since it plays better with mac... better is the operative word... issues with 10.5... many issues with I-Sync, and my PDA walked.

But if I got a copy of XP running, I can fully look at a replacement CE machine with modern tech.

Yep, Palm has ancient tech compared with that Ipaq has out. (and for the same price to boot)

5. It's good to see competition
I'm a fan of VMware, which I use a lot. Not so much Parallels, which I found a little unstable (things may have improved since then). But competition is good. I'll be giving it a try on my Mini at work: we're big users of VMware on servers, but I'd have to beg for a VMware licence for my Mini, and this saves me the trouble. So far, though, it's crashed on me during my first attempt at installing a guest OS.
