I need help getting a special plug-in to work with Firefox for my online math class
I'm using http://coursecompass.com/
for my "blended" math class. It's a combo of in-class and on-line course work.

Here's what I'm using.

Firefox
3.0.5

iMac 8,1
with Mac OS X 10.5.6
2.66 ghz intel core 2 duo

The plug-in is called TestGen.
http://wpslive.pearsoncmg.com/cmg_student_testgen_1/39/10036/2569280.cw/index.html

The entire CourseCompass.com doesn't seem to work with Safari(3.2.1) at all, so I went' with Firefox.
The CourseCompass.com will work with Firefox except for this one stupid plug-in won't work.
and I HAVE to have it to take test.

I downloaded the plug-in, but it doesn't seem to go into Firefox...or there is something special I'm missing that they don't list in the instructions.

I have already followed all directions to the "T".
I am not on my school computer, I am on my own.
I am the administrator.
I already installed Stuff It.
I already downloaded the plug in.
The plug-in said it installed itself into the browser (I'm using Firefox 3.0.5), but it did not.
I have a Mac with in intel processor so they want Rosetta enabled in the browser. It's enabled.
(I don't know what this Rosetta is, but they say it has to be enabled for this plug-in to work with Intel processors.)
Firefox is set as the default browser.

If someone could help me???? Please send me a PM??
The tech support is worthless, and keeps sending me info for PC/Windows users.
I've both called and did their BS on-line help. Should have been the "no-help" line.

PLEASE! Thanks!!!!!!

If nothing else, I can use my husband's PC.
But that would be such a hassle for both of us.
And I do have access on campus, but I have a 40 mile commute one way -- so that is not always viable.

1. I am brand new to Mac (only a couple of weeks)
However, that sounds like exclusively a FireFox issue. I know I'm not being terribly helpful, but have you looked around any user forums for FireFox? I would assume http://www.mozilla.org or http://www.mozilla.com would have some usergroups on one or both of them.

Good luck!

5. If you're using Firefox 3.0.5 with Mac OS X 10.5.6, there may be bad news:

"Vista, Firefox, and Safari users: Although the platform on which CourseCompass is built (Blackboard 6.2.3.23) has not been certified by Blackboard for use with the Vista operating system and the Firefox and Safari browsers, a subset of CourseCompass features have been tested with and do support the configurations shown in the preceding table"
http://www.coursecompass.com/html/system_requirements.html

The same company webspage indicates Course Compass only works with Macintosh OS 10.5 for Safari 3.1. Of course, that webpage may not be up-to-date, although it is labelled "Copyright © 2009"

Maybe something useful is here, or buy following links:
