Streaming news video w/ Firefox? HELP!

Streaming news video w/ Firefox? HELP!
I'm having serious trouble watching any live streams from major network websites. I'm trying to get some of the live coverage of the Fort Hood shooting. I'm running the latest versions of Firefox and Flip4Mac, as well as the latest version of the Mac OS. A few of the websites start opening endless multiple tabs in Firefox, but never actually play any video. Thoughts?

1. Are you usually able to watch streaming video?
I'm not having any trouble (using OMNI)

YouTube, etc. no problem.

I've got something like 50/50 on FiOS. Very strange.

5. Really strange. I am streaming CNN right now without any problem and I am on
a cell phone connection.
