Can't burn DVD's. I get this message
The disc can’t be burned because because communication between the computer and the disc drive failed (error code 0x80020022).

I get this after burning a CD. The CD works, even with this warning.

This disc can’t be verified and might be unreliable. Try again using a new blank disc (error code 0x80020063).

MacMini 2gig Dualcore2.

Snow Leopard.

1. Googling suggested a variety of things to try:
0. Close all other programs when burning a disk
1. Repair permissions
2. Make sure your version of Snow Leopard is up-to-date
3a. Try another CD
3b. Try another kind of CD
3c. Try another brand of CDs
4. Disable Norton Anti-Virus if you're using it
5. Reinstall Snow Leopard
6. Try a different CD burner program

Of course, if you have used your optical drive heavily, it might be dying

2. I've done several of the things. It did burn a DVD using iDVD.

It will not burn from the finder. I just burned a CD and it worked well with no error.

If I could find a way to burn pure data discs using iDVD I'd be happy.

AV is disabled

Repaired permissions

Snow Leopard is up to date.

This sounds like a Software problem.

4. Yes. It has to be software due to the fact that iDVD works, but burning from
the finder and Disk Utility doesn't work. Permissions have been repaired, PRAM reset, and other utilities run.

6. I have gone to CD's to back up my extensive image collection. That's
about all I use the DVD's for. DVD's play well.
