Holiday Gift Suggestion for Foodies: funny book


My "foodie" sister gave me this for Christmas last year. It's a collection of old recipes, ads, pamphlets, etc., most from the 50s and 60s, with some truly disgusting items.

1. That dude is an asshole
James Lileks has a blog. He's a total right wing pro-war, anti-liberal blogger, when he's not posting about his daughter (which is sort of sweet). Just a heads up. I've heard great things about the book but regret that I cannot buy it. :(

On the topic of regrettable food, has anyone seen those weight watchers cards from the 70s? So_Funny! Here's the horrid link:

His other book looks good too. Sometimes I prefer not to know people's political persuasion. :)

omg, yes, the candyboots site cracks me up. My favorite is the glistening greenbean and mushroom jelly mold.
