Wish I lived closer, I would invite myself over. I'm so not into being in the kitchen today. We went out to dinner last night and I still feel like I have 3 meals in my stomach. I know I'll be hungry later but right now the thought of food...well it doesn't stop me from thinking about it but I'm not going there until much later today.

We did have a wonderful dinner though. One of our friends had a polenta in a gorgonzola cream sauce that I wanted to bathe in. I thought he was going to hit me when I went in for a third taste.

I always get the saltinbuca at this place but next time......

Good wine, good food, good friends....Happy times.

3. DH wanted turkey, so he's got one in the oven.
I'm checking the back of his neck for the pod scar right now - he's the one who says he doesn't like the stuff.... but he brined it all week (outside in a cooler) and this is his baby....

I've got a ham I'll put in later (I'm cleaning out the freezer and cooking things before they expire) and some sweet potatoes. Between the ham and the turkey, I won't have to do much in the way of cooking this week.

I need to do the week's bread, so I'm thinking a loaf of italian (aka supermarket style french) and a loaf of oatmeal.

I may pull some masa harina out and use the last of the carnitas in the fridge to make tamales.
