My first attempt at making freezer strawberry jam turned out wonderful.
Why I never attempted this before is beyond reason. I had an abundance of strawberries, and so froze some. Looked up a recipe to make the jam. Thawed the berries, crushed the berries and juice, added the sugar and the cooked Sure-Jell fruit pectin. How simple and it turned out great! I thought 2 cups fruit and 4 cups sugar would be too sweet, but it wasn't. The pectin is tart. The detailed recipe is inside the box of Sure-Jell.

1. Strawberry freezer jam was
my very first attempt at making jam when I was in my 20's. Altho now I usually cook jam, this is still a great option for making jam if you have the freezer space. Tastes great, very convenient and energy efficient, no? :hi:

2. I love freezer jam.
In the middle of February, you are going to be so thrilled to have that fresh-fruit berry taste on your toast!

So easy. Peach is good, too.
