And that's that.
I know all of you have been lying awake at night, wondering...how did eyesroll's law school saga end?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=236&topic_id=16766

The brief version:
• I was "hooded" Sunday, graduated Monday, and was sworn into the bar Monday. (No bar exam here, so I didn't have to wait.)
• I graduated summa cum laude, salutatorian, with a final GPA of 3.854/4.
• Absolutely nothing that OLL warned me about came to pass.
• I bought a house with a 1970s kitchen that works beautifully. I now possess a basement freezer. My partner will be building raised beds for our 900-square-foot garden area this coming weekend.
• I did not land a job with Giant, Soul-Sucking, and Scary, but that had nothing to do with academics or my cooking hobby, and everything to do with my inability to look at someone with a straight face and say "I want nothing more than to devote my life to transnational mergers and acquisitions, but I'll also be willing to work in your Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Practice Group."
• I start my job at a small firm June 1.
• I have lived in this house for two weeks, and have baked a loaf of bread, made dried strawberry meringues (dried the strawberries myself!), made brunch for my visiting future in-laws, made a few dinners...and so far, no injuries.
• I did burn the everloving crap out of my forearm, in the approximate size and shape of an arrowhead (mostly first-degree with some patches of second-degree)...baking the last loaf in my old apartment. I will have a scar for a few years at least. I suppose it's fitting.

So...how've you all been?

4. Congratulations! Why it seems like only yesterday you were
asking us how to outfit the pantry in your apartment for your tenure in law school. Now it sounds like your dreams have come true. Happy gardening, cooking and lawyering to you!

5. Of course I wondered...
don't know if you saw a heart during one of the last fund drives, but the C&B's don't forget their own!

I figured you were busy finishing up with school, etc. Sounds like you are on your way! I am very happy for you.

We want to plant some raised beds, too, but we have so much to do before then. Not sure it will happen this year.

Hope you have more time - ha! - for cooking!

:hi:
