We have been researching pesto recipes, and it seems that such a device would be great to have, in order to achieve the official Italian taste of pesto!

Plus it has the coolest name. :)

1. I'm not sure where the best place to buy one is.
Probably any kitchen supply store or Amazon. But, I have the best luck with OXO brands. Hands down my favorite.

:hi:

2. yeah, I like OXO too - there's a cooking store near the cool fish place
in our Strip District, where a lot of cool food stuff is. I bet they would have one.

3. I was in a Home Goods yesterday and they had some .... a mezzaluna and a concave cutting board.
I didn't check them out carefully, but they had about 10 of them.

4. I found it useful for mincing round things
that tended to hop away on a flat cutting board. That assumes you have the shallow wooden bowl to go with the knife, of course.

The knife and bowl are great for mincing anything from mushrooms to nuts.

7. I got mine from Berea College.
(Which is an amazing institution... no tuition, thanks to their work-study program; admission is limited to low-income individuals; was the first entirely integrated school in the South... I can go on and on...)

Here's the link (and it's pretty.)

9. Williams Sonoma doubtless has it. I even think I've seen it in their catalog.
But I'd try Home Goods first.
