1. The bread looks scrumptious!
Alas, I only bake bread during the cool/cold months.

And are those peanut butter cookies? I'll be right over with a freshly brewed pot of tea. ;-)

6. Butter vs. margarine...
What do you think of this?

http://www.healthcastle.com/butter-or-margarine.shtml

The so-called experts change their stance every other day, it seems. Seeing as I have had health issues regarding this, I have just recently moved to Promise heart healthy margarine. It's not bad tasting at all.

And yet my sis's holistic doc prescribes 2 eggs fried in real butter every day. She is the healthy one...go figure.

17. Here is how my doc (as well as my mom's cardiologist) put it
since the research is so damn fungible anymore.

For backing and cooking, they use butter... it is the taste stupid.

For every day spread, find a margarine spread that tastes well.

Either way... do not abuse either.

Of course if brother is around, who cannot stand butter... use margarine... or if making a dish that calls for butter, but it also has meat if you happen to have the more observant in the family show up... (Kosher style)

10. Those cookies look great. PB cookies are one of my favorites.
Have you every tried the 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies? I made some a couple of weeks ago with my 3 yo grandson and they were the easiest peanut butter cookies I have every made and as good as any I've made using a standard recipe. I was really surprised.

5. I just woke up from a nap....
and my dream came true. Your home must smell like heaven right now. Mr. Pup started barking and grinning at the same time when I showed him these gorgeous pictures. Cool that beac is bringing the basil spread. This could turn into quite a party!

Thanks, girl! :yourock: :fistbump:

7. barking and grinning?
Hahaha! Dogs that bark and grin at the same time are hilarious. Once in a while my border collie Duffy shows his teeth at me, and it makes me laugh -- so silly.

9. I was hoping you'd show up at this party.
Fresh cookies always put me into a party frame of mind. I love a dog with a nice smile! Give Duffy a good scratch around the ears for me! Forgive me, hippywife, for turning your home into Animal House! :hi:

It looks a little strangely shaped because I baked it in a glass loaf pan with the ends kind of slanted out a little. And yes, butter and mashed berries would be awesome. :hi:

Edited to add that it really tastes awesome all on its own, very moist and tender, too. Slices just beautifully. It's a keeper recipe for a sandwich loaf. Best one so far. :9
