The dh is in the hospital, so I haven't been sleeping all that well. Around midnight last night (I think) I was channel surfing and came across an amazing cooking show. I think it was on the cooking channel, and it was a bunch of young African American men who talked and acted (How shall I put this?) in-your-face inner-city. The host was a rolypoly guy who referred himself as the Big Nig. (His term. I don't even joke about the N word.) The two chefs were a guy in a chef's jacket and a tall, thin guy. And there were two teenagers -- one the dishwasher and the other wearing a plastic garbage bag over his clothes.
The two chefs obviously knew what they were doing and knew how to cook. The whole show was hilarious. I needed the laughs.
Anyone know the story behind this show? I have to find it and watch it again. Given the time it's on, I'll probably have to tape it.
Or, was I just hallucinating?
