The baby shower is a week away, but the Grandma-to-be hasn't received
an unvite. What can be assumed about this in light of the fact that invitations were sent through Facebook and Grandma is listed as an immmediate Friend of the Mom-to-Be? (Is this in-formal, impersonal method of invitations a standard practice now?)

How can Grandma RSVP to an invite she has not received? Should she tell the Mom-to-Be she just knows there was a techy glitch in order to wrangle that "assumed you'd be there" invite along w/the pertinent details like time and place, though the bash is being hosted at the home of someone Grandma-to-be does not know well, i.e., doesn't have their address or phone number? The mother-daughter relationship has had its ups and, most recently, downs. Ummmm, Auntie-to-be didn't get an invite either, so perhaps no glitch?

Advice sought.

1. Don't assume anything.
Ask the question, "am I invited?" and ask gently.

3. Oh! What happened?
I hope it was just a glitch. My mom hosted my baby shower. I can't imagine her not being there. She was the first to see and hold the baby too, after my hubby and myself ofcourse.

Let us know how it turned out OK? Good luck!
