I need opinions on college senior living at home.
My "child" decided to live at home this year after being on campus for 3 yrs. Some days go smoothly but others are NOT good. She does call before bringing visitors over but I have no doubt even if I protested about having company it would still happen. We all know no one is ready for visitors everyday at any moment. She is also coming home at all hours of the night, NOT always checking in. And then we have the issue of the "new" boy she is hanging with who comes over for studying and has fallen asleep on several occasions. I have made it known I do not like this to which she says "You are making a big deal about nothing" which infuriates me even more. On one hand I feel she is an adult, but it's also my house and I feel disrespected by both people. Advice please.:dilemma:

1. You are correct. It is your house, and your rules.
You need to sit down with her and tell her that if she wants to continue to stay at home, the rules are x, y, z and should she decide not to abide by them, she has a month to find another place to stay.

Then, stick to it. Our middle daughter will be coming home after graduating, and she knows what's expected. When our young ladies are home from college break, they do let us know what their plans are, ask before socializing, and respect our boundaries.

You should expect nothing less. Good luck!

2. Thank you
i had the talk today. After much fuss she must have realized I was serious. I gave her 15 min to be out in the garage helping me and I don't think I waited 10.
