Memphis Children's Museum

Anyone with little ones within driving distance should check this place out. We went there for the first time last weekend, and the kids had such a blast that we bought a membership. I wish there had been something like it when I was a kid. It's huge, and has a section on just about everything. A giant heart, a theatre area with costumes to try on, a fire truck they can climb around on and in while dressed in a uniform, the front section of a real jumbo jet (donated from FedEx). They even have a realistic little mini grocery store, complete with products categorized just like a real store, kid sized carts and self-checkout. I would have spent all day in that section alone when I was little. There is also a baby section separate from everything for the under 3 set.

Took my kids when they were littl;e. Loved the little Piggly Wiggly. We always loved going to Pink Palace also.
