Fat Lady sings for SCO
A judge has ruled that Novell owns the contested Unix copyrights. SCO has no standing in its claims against IBM and Sequent. SCO owes Novell the bulk of the licensing millions it extracted from Microsoft and Sun.

Buh bye SCO. Good riddance to another litigation-as-profit-center parasite.

1. Buh Bye ...

I'd say don't let the door hit ya on the way out, but I think those doors will have long been confiscated before they can make it to the exit.

2. I'd just amend that to "The SCO Group" -- Caldera and SCO were
both rather decent companies, as companies go.

3. Yes, that's true
Once upon a time I was sys admin for an SCO Xenix network, back when they were a real company that made good products. I loved my job and quit not long after they dumped the network for a bunch of DOS boxes hooked by modem to an offshore mainframe.

4. You think this will stand as a warning to Microsoft?
Since Bullmer has been blowing smoke and gas about Linux taking Microsoft's intellectual property?
