Linux Games: True Combat: Elite

This is a mod for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. The scenario is SpecOps, with weapons and gameplay physics that hew closely to real-world. The mod is free, and best installed on a speperate installation of ET.

It is fantastic.

It is also interesting that somewhere in the game, the authors have placed a very unambiguous anti-war statement.

All wars should be fought in games on computers. The winner wins and the loser loses. After a while, war might become so trivialized that it it would cease to exist. What a wonderful thought.
