Favorite DVD+/-R brand?
I've done some reading up. Information is scarce, but I do know that Verbatim makes its own discs and the results from users on vcdhelp.com say it's an excellent brand.

However, the other 'brand' names (TDK, Maxell, Sony, Memorex, generic in-store) generally get discs from whereever they can find them cheapest.

Is that true?

I'm going to stick with Verbatim, unless there's a good reason to use another brand. :-(

1. I haven't had an issue with any brands I have tried
All seemed to work fine - not like the early days of CD burning!
My supply department just delivered a boatload of Memorex to me - not as requested, I wanted Verbatim - so rest assurred if I have an issue I will report it here.

2. Thanks! I have heard that
Memorex quality is pitiful (the metallic layer literally flakes off with ease.) From both knowledgeable employees at stores to internet user opinions. (The twits who say "the quality is the same and (insert company name here) has been around for decades" are the type I will discount immediately.) I can see why people would buy them, what with them being 50% cheaper than everybody else and all... But if they'd think as to why they're so much cheaper and then look around, all that glitters ain't gold. It's DVD flecks.
