Firefix 1.0 history and cache occasionally VANISH! GRAAAAGH!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Does anyone know wtf is going on here? I'm so annoyed!!!! Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 1.0, every so often my history and cache just vanish! My cache is set to 50MB and my history at 15 days under options. Everything will be fine for days, up to maybe a week or so, and then I'll close Firefox, as I do oodles of times each day, and the next time I call it, Firefox takes a long time to come up and the frickin' history and type-thrus or whatever it's called in the URL bar where you type things, everything's GONE! :-(

Anybody have any clues? I use MozBackup 1.4 and I suppose I could start backing up the cache (but I'd really rather not).

Thanks!
Alicia

1. This is a known bug
in FireFox 1.0 I delete all my history and cache daily so I'm not sure if it is a problem on my computer. But here is a thread on the problem

2. Thanks!
Thanks, that helps! I'd tried searching Mozilla's Firefox forum but obviously with the wrong keywords. And when I posted there, nobody bloody answered! Grrr.

So thanks very much!

3. I found that AVG virus software
was wiping out the history and favorites. Then, I saw a notice on one or the other's updates that it was doing so and how to correct. Worth checking out. Seems later updates corrected the problem so check to make sure if you use the combo that both are up to date.
