Any EXCEL wizards out there?

We're trying to get a worksheet running - it's copied from another office located in Denmark and the original person who set it up is no longer with company and we are unable to them questions.

here's the deal

there are two cells containing dropdown selections - when you click on an item, it's suppose to be able to reference another excel workbook, grab the info and put it into the active workbook.

When you click on an item in the dropdown list - we get an error message (it's in danish) "databasefil ikke fundet" - loosely translated "Database not functioning".

we have all the files/workbooks needed - I suspect that the "link up" between the dropdown list and the data workbook is a pivot table dealy, and the connection has been broken.

the other possibility is that it's a macro or visual basic function which wasn't copied and sent to us...

any thoughts? help....
